Malaysian-born Rahul Agarwal has had a love affair with chocolate long before he conceived Mokaya. Rahul vividly recalls happy childhood memories associated with chocolate. Sharing stories with family while nibbling on a bar of chocolate; catching his grandmother sneaking a piece of chocolate as a "good-night" treat; and long summer drives to the Cameron Highlands where hunger was kept at bay with a bar of chocolate.

As an adult, Rahul's extensive travel and love of chocolate have led him to explore chocolate developed by small, local chocolatiers as well as larger, more mainstream companies globally. His ultimate goal: to develop a Malaysian chocolate made of the planet's finest cacao beans and purest ingredients, crafted rigorously to compete with the best in the world.
